Abstracts should be submitted according to the information posted on the conference web page. Each abstract will receive careful review and evaluation by the symposium Technical Program Committee based on originality of the work, contribution to the state of the art and overall interest to the ultrasonics community. Papers are solicited describing original work in the field of ultrasonics.

Submission Topics

  • Group 1: Medical Ultrasonics

  • Group 2: Sensors, NDE & Industrial Applications

  • Group 3: Physical Acoustics

  • Group 4: Microacoustics – SAW, FBAR & MEMS

  • Group 5: Transducers & Transducer Material

Student Paper Competition and Travel Support

Students submitting abstracts are invited to participate in a student paper competition. To participate, the student must be the lead author and present their paper. Limited funds are available to support travel for IEEE UFFC student member attendees at the 2026 symposium. Awards will be given on a competitive basis.

Presentation Format and Material Requirements

UFFC-sponsored conferences do not offer live streaming or live hybrid session formats. All technical sessions are conducted in person or by showing videos for those who cannot participate in person.

To support all registered participants and access to parallel sessions, all accepted presenters are expected to submit a pre-recorded video of their presentation by the stated deadline (typically 7–10 days before the conference).

Providing presentation materials in advance helps ensure a smoother, more reliable conference experience for everyone involved.

For presenters, it reduces last-minute stress and eliminates the risk of technical issues affecting your talk. For attendees, it provides access to parallel sessions and supports colleagues who are unable to travel. For conference organizers, it minimizes technical risk, avoids live-session failures, and ensures the program delivers what is promised.

This approach allows the conference to focus on high-quality in-person discussion while still extending the scientific value of the meeting beyond a single room, time slot, and time zone for those who attend remotely.

By submitting an abstract, authors acknowledge and agree to comply with these requirements and understand that failure to do so may result in restrictions on current or future participation in this conference.
