Author Registration Guidelines & Requirements

Online registration by August 4, 2026, is required of all presenting authors. At least one author per presentation must register. In the case that no registration has been received and correctly processed, the conference organizers will contact the authors before the paper is removed from the technical program.

Each registration may be associated with up to two accepted abstracts oral and/or poster in the symposium program. This is to encourage participation across a broad array of presenters. Note that, while only two accepted abstracts can be associated with each registration, a given registrant can serve as an author on more than two accepted abstracts.

All authors are required to submit pre-recorded videos of oral and poster presentations to the CONFlux virtual platform by September 21, 2026. Failure to comply with this requirement may impact the author’s participation in future IUS symposia.

Authors are also expected to use the chat functionality of the virtual platform to participate in asynchronous discussions with symposium attendees.

Proceedings Papers will only be published in the Proceedings of IUS 2026 if the accepted abstract has been presented at the conference, a proceedings manuscript has been received by the deadline, and the registration for one of the authors is completed.

Additional Registration Information

In-Person Registration includes access to all in-person technical sessions Monday, 5 October – Wednesday, 7 October, plenary talks, invited talks, welcome reception, conference breaks (Monday - Wednesday), exhibition hall, access to the CONFlux virtual platform, and digital download of the IEEE IUS Proceedings post conference. Lunch on site can be purchased separately.

Virtual Registration includes access to all technical sessions through the CONFlux virtual platform and the digital download of the conference Proceedings. The IEEE IUS sessions will not be broadcast or live-streamed. Virtual registrants will be able to view presentation and session content, plus participate in discussion with authors or other symposium attendees via the virtual platform.

The CONFlux virtual platform will include pre-recorded videos for lecture and poster presentations. All symposium attendees are encouraged to participate in discussion with authors and other symposium attendees via the real-time chat functionality of the virtual platform. The technical content will be available a few days in advance of the conference and for one month following the conference.

Short Courses, Lunch, Banquet Dinner, and Summit Day tickets must be purchased separately.
