He has been a junior member of the French ("Institut Universitaire de France") (2014-2019). His research focuses on image and signal processing applied to medical ultrasound imaging. He is particularly interested in image reconstruction techniques and motion estimation. He has published 76 journal articles and more than 120 conference proceedings.

He received the Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and the Masters degree in Acoustics from the Lyon National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA Lyon) in 2002, and the PhD degree in 2006 for his research on Transverse Oscillations techniques adapted to elastography. His PhD has been the opportunity to visit the Technical University of Denmark (Lyngby, Denmark) for a 6 months period. In 2011 he received the French Habilitation to Lead Research (HDR) from University Lyon 1. In 2014 Hervé
