Holly S Lay, PhD is VP Transducers and Acoustics at Acoustiic, Inc (Bellevue, WA). She received her BSc in Electrical Engineering and her PhD in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University, Canada and has 15+ years’ experience in medical ultrasound development in both academic and industrial contexts. She has supervised workloads and project integration for multi-disciplinary teams in multiple contexts, in particular as a technical coordinator for the $10 million Sonopill project then as a key member of the team that launched Fujifilm VisualSonics’ new F2 platform in 2021.

Her current work at Acoustiic, Inc is focused on the development of a cutting-edge therapeutic ultrasound platform targeting liver disease. Long-term goals are to adapt the platform to a wide variety of clinical targets based on the broad adaptability of the core technology.

Holly S Lay is currently serving as VP Education for the Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control Society of the IEEE, sits on AdCom and ExCom, and is a member of IUS TPC 5. She is also a member of the Bioeffects Committee for the AIUM.
