Prof. Teng Ma is a principal investigator at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, and at the National Innovation Center for Advanced Medical Devices, and serves as Deputy Director of the Institute of Scientific Instrumentation at SIAT. He received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2015 and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the NIH Resource Center for Medical Ultrasonic Transducer Technology, jointly established by USC and the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). His research focuses on medical ultrasonic instrumentation, including advanced ultrasound transducers and multimodal imaging and therapy devices, with the goal of enabling precision interventional diagnosis and therapy through innovative ultrasound-based systems. His work addresses key challenges in resolution, bandwidth, and system integration, with applications in cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and neurological diseases. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers with more than 4,000 citations and holds over 80 patents.
